This policy explains how ReppUp (“ReppUp”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the ReppUp iPhone app and this website. It should be read together with Apple’s privacy information for the iPhone features you choose to connect.
Information ReppUp handles
Account information
When you create an account with Sign in with Apple, ReppUp receives an Apple account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name and an email address or Apple private relay address. We store your display name, account settings, workout plan, and account creation information.
Movement and app-access activity
ReppUp stores completed movement events, rep totals, challenge type, dates and times, daily progress, and app-access events needed to show your history and synchronize it across your devices. ReppUp does not store the identity of the blocked or unlocked app in your account activity.
Camera processing
ReppUp uses the iPhone camera during an active challenge to detect body pose and count completed reps. Processing happens locally on your iPhone. ReppUp does not record video, save photos, upload camera frames, or make camera content available to friends.
Blocked-app selections
The apps you block are represented by Apple’s Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks and remain in Apple’s local storage on your device. ReppUp does not upload or store their names or identities on its server.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, ReppUp reads daily step totals from your signup day onward for challenge adjustment and long-term trends. ReppUp stores and synchronizes those daily totals. We do not upload raw Health samples, sample identifiers, source details, or Health device metadata. You can use ReppUp without Health access.
Friends and nudges
If you use accountability features, ReppUp stores invitations, friend relationships, and nudge-delivery records. Accepted friends can see your display name, reps, challenges, and daily step totals. They cannot see blocked-app identities, the app you unlock, raw Health data, Health source details, or camera data.
Notifications and diagnostics
If notifications are enabled, ReppUp stores a device push token to deliver account and accountability notifications. Operational logs may contain limited technical details needed to keep the service reliable. Diagnostics should not include camera frames, blocked-app identities, Apple credentials, or raw Health records.
How information is used
- Provide account synchronization, history, daily goals, and app-access functionality.
- Adapt movement challenges when you enable Apple Health.
- Provide friend invitations, shared progress, and nudges you request.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and support users.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce the Terms of Use.
Sharing and service providers
ReppUp shares information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, safeguard rights and safety, or complete a business transaction with appropriate safeguards. Account information is stored through ReppUp’s backend hosting. Apple processes Sign in with Apple, Screen Time, Health, and notification functionality under Apple’s own terms. We do not sell personal information or use camera footage or Health information for advertising.
Retention
Account and activity information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Short-lived operational records may be retained for security and reliability. Deleting your account removes account-owned server data and local ReppUp activity, subject to limited records we must retain by law or for security.
Your choices
- Remove camera, Health, notification, or Screen Time permission in iPhone Settings.
- Remove friends inside ReppUp.
- Turn app blocking off in ReppUp Settings.
- Delete your account in ReppUp Settings.
- Contact us to ask about your information or request help with deletion.
Security and transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to secure information. No system is completely secure. Depending on where the service and its providers operate, information may be processed outside your country under applicable safeguards.
Children
ReppUp is intended as a personal habit tool for users old enough to create and manage their own account under applicable law. It is not designed as a child-monitoring or parental-control service. Do not use ReppUp if you are not legally permitted to consent to this processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
